In almost every profession having the appropriate tools and resources makes the difference in performance. In order to effectively and efficiently implement the Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Approach (CLR), cadre members, as well as those interested in being CLR, must have all of the necessary instructional resources.  What are these instructional resources?

Our goal is that every CLR classroom should have the following instructional resources at a minimum:

  1. A culturally and linguistically responsive library of at least 50 titles
  2. At least two class sets of aligned culturally relevant titles to start
  3. A cultural center with cultural artifacts and images
  4. Class sets of personal thesauri
  5. Culturally Responsive Standardized Prep Comic Books Set
  6. CLR Forums of Discussion and Participation Posters
  7. Culturally Responsive Learning Environment Image Posters
  8. CLR Instructional Video Clips DVD
