The classroom library bundles are divided into grade level categories K-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 AND by emphasis (Latino or African American themes).  All books are sold through two of our Partner Vendors, Cultura Latina Books and Kargold Books.

Every classroom in America deserves a decent class library. Many groups suggest having an absolute minimum of 100 books per classroom and ideally from 300 to 500 books in each!

What should my classroom library look like? A classroom library should contain: - Reference Materials (dictionaries, encyclopedias, almanacs, atlases/globes/maps) - Multiple copies of the same book for small group work and discussions. - Sets of related books (e.g. topic theme, same author). - Different genres (e.g. non-fiction, science fiction, fantasy, informational, historical fiction, biographies, short stories, poetry, etc.) - Books should vary in quantity, complexity, and format. - Readability range of between 3 and 4 grade levels. - Include print materials besides books (e.g. magazines, articles, directories, catalogues, plays, big books, newspapers, recipe books, etc. - Materials should reflect ethnic and cultural diversity

Teachers should consider the following about their classroom library: - Is located in a quiet area outside of the regular traffic pattern - Accommodates 5-6 students - Is furnished with comfortable seating (e.g. pillows, beanbag chairs) - Is at eye-level and easily accessible to all students - Check out/return systems
