Step into Culturally Responsive Teaching . . .

The Center for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2003 and based in Inglewood, California. The Center is a leader in meeting the challenge of designing schools, classrooms, and learning experiences that result in academic success for diverse learners.

We use culturally responsive teaching and learning as a framework to successfully respond to the historical failure of public education to adequately address the needs of African American and Latino students.

The Center offers schools expert guidance, planning, and implementation in the area of Culturally and Linguistically Responsive (CLR) Teaching and Learning. In addition, the Center supports teachers directly through professional development seminars and workshops, on-going coaching, and instructional materials selection.

Our professional development is grounded in a strong belief in teachers and their capacity as professionals in an urban setting.
