Cadre Model of School-Site Support
The Center promotes the concept of "critical friends" groups through the use of small cadres of school-site teachers. Participating schools are encouraged to enlist at least two teachers from each of the different grade levels or subject areas. These teachers, in turn, serve as coaches throughout the school. Each cadre of teachers works collaboratively to build and demonstrate lessons,
coach each other, and gain knowledge through an examination of professional
literature selections. Each activity is designed to reinforce the five
foundations of student success.
